Aurora University

Wadsworth Golf Charities Foundation provides a $20,000.00 grant to Aurora University for their Youth Golf Leadership Program in July at the AU Lake Geneva Campus.

Aurora University invites young people from The First Tee of Aurora, other First Tee Chapters in Illinois and for the first time in 2006, some kids will be attending from Mooseheart School. The week long program focuses on character-building activities and leadership education through golf. The George Williams Campus and golf course of Aurora University's School of Experimental Leadership has integrated the core values of the national First Tee program - - - Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Confidence, Courtesy, Responsibility, Perseverance and Judgment into a distinctive program.

The Wadsworth Cardiovascular Golf Program

The Wadsworth Cardiovascular Golf program is specifically designed for golfers who have experienced a cardiovascular injury. This eight-week program consist of eight phase III cardiac rahab visits and eight sessions in the Warm Up to Golf program.

The phase III cardiac rehab visits are designed to build cardiovascular strength and endurance while introducing you to golf specific conditioning exercises. Each session is supervised by cardiac rehab nursing staff at either the Middletown or Lebanon location listed below.

The Warm Up to Golf program combines flexibility, strengthening and balance exercises to prepare your body for golf. Two sessions will be spent with PGA teaching professional Brad Smith. He will analyze your golf swing, and our sports medicine professionals will design a conditioning program specific to your needs. This program can be completed at any one of the centers listed below.
